The "International Seminar on National Institutions and Human Rights Protection Social Rights. Experiences, Prospects and Challenges ", is an initiative promoted and sponsored by the Ombudsman of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, in the context of their roles in the pro tempore Secretariat of the Network of National Institutions for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in the Americas.
This seminar is seen as a space for reflection, analysis, discussion, training, communication and cooperation, mainly concerned the issue of protection of social rights and the role that National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) are called upon to play, in light of current development challenges the world capitalist system in the different countries is American.
The call includes and heads and representatives of NHRIs belonging to the network; delegates from multilateral human rights bodies, including the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural United Nations, heads and representatives of various institutions of the National Government of the Venezuelan State, specialists, academics and researchers. Also, we analyze the participation of the Councils for the Protection of Human Rights, Community Councils, grassroots movements, human rights activists and representatives of social organizations linked to the recognition and realization of human rights in the country.
Thus, this event aims to be a substantial contribution in the efforts to take, in concert and effectively, a commitment to the promotion, protection and monitoring of social rights in the face of transformations that emerge from the late twentieth and early twenty-first.
The Ombudsman of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is honored and pleased to be active and promoting this initiative and to have the presence and participation of all institutions, agencies, investigators and researchers, activists and organizations social guests.
